David Lanz

Probably one of the most popular performers within the single instrumental and adult option spheres, Lanz played in a number of rock rings during his teenagers, then began developing his design as a single pianist in a little Seattle nightclub. He launched a few of his originals in to the bar’s needed mix of requirements and pop music, receiving such a confident response from customers that, in a short time, he was playing his personal material almost specifically. His early albums of single piano works remain one of the Narada label’s best-sellers. His two collaborative attempts with guitarist Paul Speer also strike the Billboard Best 200 Albums graph; yet mainly because Lanz’s national recognition grew, he started to experiment with functions for bigger and bigger ensembles, culminating completely orchestral accompaniments about Skyline Firedance (1990). With 1991’s Go back to the center, he journeyed back again to his single piano origins, and produced his vocal debut on 1993’s Bridge of Dreams. Next was An Evening with David Lanz, released in 1999; East of the Moon made an appearance a year later on.
