David Harris

Trombonist, pianist and composer/arranger David Harris is an associate of Naftule’s Fantasy, a klezmer-influenced, avant jazz music group based from Boston. Harris also co-founded Brass World, an eclectically designed outfit of trombones, tuba and drums. Created in St. Louis, Harris graduated from the brand new Britain Conservatory around 1980, and it has remained within the Boston region since. Harris offers performed various varieties of music including jazz, traditional and folk on over 30 recordings, and it has performed all over the world from THE UNITED STATES to Australia, throughout European countries and in Japan. He offers performed at many locations and celebrations of note, like the Smithsonian Institute, the Blue Take note, the Knitting Manufacturer, the Berlin Jazz Event as well as the Montreal Jazz Event. A past presented soloist of Les Miserables Brass Music group, Harris is constantly on the compose and request them. He is a founding person in the Klezmer Conservatory Music group, and recorded together for three albums. Harris offers performed music for tv advertisements and film soundtracks including Stranger IN OUR MIDST and Woody Allen’s Deconstructing Harry. A ’90s receiver of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship’s 1st reward for music structure, Harris and his wife, violinist Mimi Rabson, stay in the Boston region where he shows piano, pc music and trombone. In 1998, Naftule’s Fantasy released Smash, Clap!, their second recording for the Tzadik label’s Radical Jewish Tradition series.
