David Diggs

A soulful mixture of jazz and R&B creates the distinctive blue-eyed spirit audio of California-based keyboardist, composer, and arranger David Diggs. Called among three best brand-new artists by Money Container and Billboard in 1985, when his 4th solo record, Streetshadows, spent 26 weeks in the very best Ten of Billboard’s jazz graphs, Diggs has continuing to create his presence sensed as a manufacturer/arranger. His resumé contains producing, organizing strings and horns, and playing on recordings by Quincy Jones, Irene Cara, Jonathan Butler, Richie Furay, the Brothers Johnson, and Pat and Debby Boone. He provides created three Grammy-nominated albums: Bob Bailey’s I’m Strolling, Barry McGuire, as well as the music for comedian Jonathan Winters’ Finally Captured, Vol. 1. He has truly gone from hearing albums by Buffalo Springfield as a teenager to producing, organizing, and touring with Richie Furay. Diggs regularly uses top-notch, Los Angeles-based program players by himself recordings. His most effective album, Streetshadows, highlighted guitarist Lee Ritenour, drummer Harvey Mason, saxophonist Ernie W, violinist Doug Cameron, and vocalists Dianne Reeves and Bob Carlisle.
