David Bee

Arranger, composer. Belgian arranger and composer David Bee music has had many originals documented by jazz organizations and musicians over time. He’s also a flexible performer, in a position to perform saxophones, clarinet, piano and harp. Bee became a member of The Bistrouille A.D.O. in 1925, and created The Red Coffee beans a year later on with Peter Packay, with whom he collaborated on compositions and plans. They toured Italy, Spain, France and holland before disbanding in 1929. Bee do arrangements and documenting classes in Berlin and Italy before time for Belgium in 1930, where he became a member of Robert De Kers’ orchestra. He fulfilled Benny Goodman and Stuff Smith throughout a trip to America, and used Benny Carter and Willie Smith at Chez Florence in Paris. Bee used Chas Dolne after Globe Battle II, and led his personal bands and organizations at numerous intervals in the ’50s and ’60s. Luis Russell, Ted Heath and Reg Owen had been among musicians documenting his works.
