Dave & Sugar

Dave Rowland (b. 26 January 1942, Anaheim, California, USA) was a pop vocalist and trumpeter within an military band and joined up with the Stamps Quartet. He toured with Elvis Presley and shows up on his information ‘My Boy’ and ‘Help Me’. He worked well within the Four Men on Charley Satisfaction’s roadshow and created a vocal quartet, Crazy Oats. Then hit upon the idea of a group composed of a young man with one blonde and one brunette woman, and he known as the group Dave and Sugars. They became a member of Charley Satisfaction’s roadshow in 1975. Sugars had been Vicki Hackeman (b. 4 August 1950, Louisville, Kentucky, USA) and Jackie Frantz (b. 8 Oct 1950, Sidney, Ohio, USA). Satisfaction co-produced their 1st country strikes, ‘Queen FROM THE Silver Buck’, the chart-topping ‘The Door Is definitely Always Open up’ and ‘I’m Leg Deep In Lovin’ You’. By 1979 Hackeman, who wedded Satisfaction’s bass guitarist, Ron Baker, and Frantz have been changed by Melissa Dean and Sue Powell. The group topped the united states country graphs with ‘Rip Period’ and ‘Golden Tears’. By 1980 the group was referred to as Dave Rowland And Glucose, however the group did talk about the business lead vocals. Rowland after that recorded a single record for Warner Brothers Information. He released an individual of his tribute to celebrity Natalie Hardwood, ‘Natalie’, but by 1985 he was functioning as Dave And Glucose again.
