Dave Bernstein

Dave Bernstein remaining California for any couple years to review at Berklee however in 1986 returned to his indigenous condition, where he established himself among the Bay Area’s leading jazz guitarists. Affected significantly by legends like Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and Wayne Shorter, Bernstein was raised in Southern California and went to the University or college of California at Santa Cruz before touring east to Boston briefly for Berklee. Over time he has distributed the stage several significant players — Teddy Edwards, Herbie Lewis, Pole Piazza, William Clarke — and it has led a lot of his personal blues and jazz rings. In the first 2000s he led the Dave Bernstein Quartet — pianist Alan Steger, bassist Chris Amberger, drummer Michael Spencer — with whom he performed at many revered Bay Region establishments and documented the C the Blues (2002) recording.
