With an origin heading back with their time spent surviving in a “Students of Color for Social Justice”-themed dorm, Das Racist’s conference seems like destiny. While MCs Victor Vazquez and Himanshu Suri fulfilled years previously, 2008 will be the entire year that they might come towards the attention from the music globe after their strangely catchy track “Mixture Pizza Hut and Taco Bell” became a YouTube strike. Teamed up using their buzz guy, Dap (aka Ashok Kondabolu), the Brooklyn group includes a design that both satirizes and reveres hip-hop, merging druggy nonsense, interpersonal commentary, and obscure pop tradition recommendations into one boldly self-aware bundle. This year 2010, the group self-released two mixtapes, Shut Up, Dude and SIT BACK, Man, using the second option issued in colaboration with the Mad Good label and having a track with creation by tastemaker and label mind Diplo. Immediately after, Das Racist announced they might launch their debut full-length, Relax, on Greedhead Music, a label imprint operate by Himanshu Suri. Relax found its way to Sept of 2011.
