Experimental dance music producer Nicolas Jaar and his touring guitarist, Dave Harrington, combined up as Darkside release a a self-titled EP around the Clown and Sunset label in 2011. It included three sluggish, hypnotic, and untitled grooves offering slivers of Jaar’s falsetto and Harrington’s somewhat bluesy flecks of acoustic guitar. The duo produced their live debut that Dec at Music Hall of Williamsburg. 2013 noticed the discharge of full-length record Psychic for the OTHER FOLKS label together with indie stalwarts Matador. The record moved the works sound forward significantly from their previously work into even more compositional song buildings.
