Dark Suns

Having a sound inspired in equal parts from the progressive death metallic of Sweden’s Opeth, as well as the orchestrated gothic death/doom of November’s Doom and early Heaven Lost, Dark Suns surfaced from the town of Leipzig, Germany, in 1997. An initial demonstration, Below Dark Illusion, made an appearance the following yr, and an EP entitled Struggling the Psychopathic Outcomes of Daily Blasphemy (and comprising but one, 14-minute music) adopted in 1999. By 2002, the music group had arrive to feature vocalist/drummer Niko Knappe, guitarists Maik Knappe and Tobias Gommlich, bassist Christoph Bormann, and keyboardist Thomas Bremer, and got recorded an extraordinary debut in the aptly called Swanlike. This is followed by another critically acclaimed and ambitious opus basically called Living, in 2005, where time Gommlich have been changed by guitarist Torsten Wenzel.
