Dark Lord

This guitar-orientated, hard rock outfit was formed in Venice, Italy, in 1984 by six-string virtuoso Alex Masi and drummer Sandro Bertoldini. With the help of vocalist Gable Nalesso and bass participant Al Guariento, they released a self-titled mini-album that showcased the skills of Masi, a classically qualified guitarist in the design of Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Condition Of Rock and roll, another mini-album, adopted, and noticed the appearance of fresh bass participant Randzo Zulian and vocalist Emanual Jandee. Masi remaining and relocated to LA immediately after the recording’s release, becoming a member of Sound Hurdle, who later on became Masi. After 2 yrs of inactivity, Jandee and Bertoldni re-formed Dark Lord with Paolo Mufato (acoustic guitar) and Alex Favaretto (bass). It’s Nigh’ Period was the effect, nonetheless it lacked the class and experimentation of Masi’s period, and consequently produced little impact beyond Italy.
