Danny King

Danny Ruler was a Birmingham-based vocalist whose initial solo single in EMI-Columbia was “Tossin’ And Turnin’ b/w “Teen Bloodstream.” In 1965, he surfaced briefly as head of the Birmingham group known as Danny King’s Mayfair Occur 1965. Upcoming Move associates Roy Hardwood and Trevor Burton performed on King’s second one, “Pretty Stuff,” and Burton’s electric guitar was present over the follow-up, “Amen (My Teenage Prayer).” Ruler faded in to the regional Birmingham picture as bands just like the Move surfaced in to the limelight through the mid-1960’s.
