Danny Carnahan

Danny Carnahan and Robin Petrie have enjoyed a successful partnership because the 1970s, if they first started to perform folk and test out a widening selection of world musical designs. Carnahan and Petrie fulfilled while students in the University or college of Califorinia at Irvine and quickly started to play collectively, he on acoustic guitar and consequently fiddle; she on recorder and later on the hammered dulcimer. While Petrie quit on music to become potter, Carnahan embraced Irish and Scottish music, teaming up with Chris Caswell and documenting two albums. After that, in 1980, Petrie rejoined Carnahan, and each of them started to play a music which was at once extremely celtic and incredibly American; the outcomes were noticed on 1984’s Two for the street. There adopted Journeys from the Center also released in 1984 and Continental Drift, released in 1987. In 1988 the music group decided to switch emphasis from the celtic fringe and toward a far more synthetic audio: one much less derivative, even more coherent. Their launch, in 1989, of No Regrets was welcomed like a relaxing departure and a fresh chapter in the history from the band.
