At a age, Bedford, U.K., vocalist/songwriter Danni Nicholls was subjected to American folk, nation, and rock and roll music through her grandmother’s record collection. When she ultimately inherited her uncle’s classic Burns up London short-scale jazz acoustic guitar at age group 16, it appeared only organic that she’d gravitate toward that American origins sound. Her skills being a songwriter and vocalist created quickly and she started gigging throughout the U.K. She released her initial EP, Heavy Shoes and boots, this year 2010. The next year, by way of a shared friend in London, Nicholls was presented to Nashville-based manufacturer Chris Donohue (the Civil Wars, Elvis Costello, Robert Seed) who was simply on tour with Emmylou Harris at that time. Donohue was impressed by Nicholls’ music and decided to provide her back again to Nashville to record her debut LP. Together with a band comprised of seasoned Nashville studio room vets, Nicholls and Donohue documented a richly complete record of soulful nation and Americana that recalls performers like Rosanne Money and Patsy Cline. That same season, Nicholls proved helpful in London with United kingdom manufacturer Iain Archer (Jake Bugg, Snow Patrol, Tired Pony) in the four-track EP Period, which would get to early 2013. After putting your signature on with Transmission Information, her Donohue-produced debut LP JUST A LITTLE Redemption premiered later that season.
