Daniele Cavallanti

The resumé of Spanish saxophonist Daniele Cavallanti includes stints with such groups as Gruppo Contemporaneo, featuring trombonist Guido Mazzon and pianist Gaetano Liguori; Aktula with multi-instrumentalist Walter Maioli; Muzik Circus; the Democratic Milan Orchestra; the brand new Forties Big Band; Nexus; the Jazz Chromatic Outfit; as well as the Italian Instabile Orchestra. Since 1991, Cavallanti offers performed along with his personal quartet. A indigenous of Milan, Cavallanti was attracted to jazz since first memory. Starting at age 14, he analyzed saxophone under traditional clarinet participant M. Ezio Zappatini, in the Civic College of Music of 6th S. Giovanni. Briefly surviving in Amsterdam, from 1979 until 1980, Cavallanti performed having a quartet, Bellatalla, offering Dutch trombonist Walter Wierbos and Australian drummer Petro Nikiruy. He came back to Spain to review harmony and organizing with Angiolo Tarocchi. In 1993, Cavallanti and his quartet collaborated with American trumpet participant Dewey Redman.
