Dancing Hoods

The Dancing Hoods featured one member, Tag Linkous, who found wider acclaim with Sparklehorse. Due to Sparklehorse, the Dance Hoods had been spared from vanishing in to the abyss of neglected alternative artists. Shaped in NY by Linkous (guitars, vocals), Bob Bortnick (vocals, acoustic guitar), Don Brief (drums), and Mike Garacino (bass), the Dance Hoods documented their 1st LP, 12 Jealous Roses, for Relativity Information in 1985. 12 Jealous Roses amassed several flattering reviews, as well as the band’s no-frills rock and roll & roll audio attracted fans from the Replacements as well as the Del Fuegos.
