Dan Lander

As an electro-acoustic composer, Dan Lander under no circumstances achieved a higher position, but his activities being a radio artist, audio art speaker, and promoter produce him a significant body in Canadian musique concrète. Delivered in 1953 in Oshawa, Ontario, Lander researched efficiency, video, and audio in Halifax (Nova Scotia), but didn’t go after his eduction after his university diploma, preferring to function beyond the musique concrète organization. He create a home studio room where he created pieces using mainly speech-based materials, while earning a paycheck as an commercial laborer. Health issues gave him time for you to focus on his music profession. From 1987 to 1991 he created the radio artwork plan Probleme With Vocabulary at CKLN, Toronto. He also edited two anthologies of content on audio art: Audio by Performers (1990) and Radio Rethink: Artwork, Sound and Transmitting (1994). Aside from a few brief parts on compilation albums like Electro-Clips and DisContact!, his just major release may be the 1995 Compact disc Zoo (on Empreintes DIGITALes), a witty and troubling record illustrating his extremely personal method of electro-acoustics. Over time on the Ontario Arts Council, Lander was appointed Mass media Arts Official in 1998.
