Dale Fielder

Dale Fielder emerged within the 1990s among the best up-and-coming saxophonists within the Los Angeles region. He started learning music (clarinet and alto) at age nine and performed R&B during senior high school. Fielder went to the University or college of Pittsburgh and performed regularly around city. In 1980, he transferred to NY and gigged using the calypso music group the Mighty Sparrow. Whilst in NY, Fielder produced the Clarion label and documented an LP, Picture From a Wish, that highlighted Geri Allen. In 1988, he relocated to LA and played frequently in town or more and down the coastline. Dale Fielder provides recorded several CDs for his Clarion label, including a solid tribute to Wayne Shorter.
