Traditional group shaped in 1975 by previous Volta Jazz member Tidiani Coulibali, who wished to pursue a rootsier musical direction. He previously a mostly electric powered lineup focused around balafon. The group gained first award in the 1976 Burkina Country wide Festival of Contemporary Music. By the first ’80s, that they had toured Mali and had been perhaps one of the most well-known groups within their homeland, but economic problems forced these to disband in 1985. Coulibali attemptedto continue being a solo artist.
