Dadub

Originally a solo project created simply by Italian producer Daniele Antezza in 2008, Dadub shortly became a duo when Antezza moved to Berlin to review sound design. An opportunity ending up in fellow Italian Giovanni Conti, cemented the foundations of Dadub being a duo as the set bonded over their fascination with audio manipulation and specifically, a like of Lee “Damage” Perry’s exclusive dub experiments. Signing up for fellow ex-pat Luca Mortellaro (Lucy) as in-house understanding and production experts for his Stroboscopic Artefacts label, the duo released their initial focus on Mortellaro’s label in 2011. A split-single with Argentinian musician Pfirter, the 11-minute excursion through dubbed-out techno would hint at the continuing future of their sound. Adding to Stroboscopic Artefacts’ experimental Monad series the same season, the duo came back in 2012 using the four-track EP Method to Moksha. At the start of 2013, the EP Preternity premiered. Offering remixes by Rrose, Kangding Ray, Lakker, and label employer Lucy, the EP will be a precursor with their debut record, You Are Eternity, released just a couple weeks later.
