MCs Babe-Face Kaos, Y-Tee, and Mister Guy was raised in the Western Indies (Y-Tee in Jamaica, Mister Guy and Kaos in Trinidad), thus reggae was a solid inspiration with their early years; hip-hop also numbers in, nevertheless. All transplanted New Yorkers, they created in 1992 when Mister Guy noticed Kaos perform. Both started collaborating, and after Mister Man recommended adding a reggae toaster, Y-Tee became a member of da Bush Babees. When their concert times sparked major-label curiosity, the trio performed several live workplace auditions and authorized with Reprise, within 90 days of starting the music group.
