Taking into consideration Curve’s towering monolith of guitar sound, dance monitors, dark goth, and airy melodies, it’s strange that their two key associates — guitarist Dean Garcia and vocalist Toni Halliday — fulfilled through David Stewart of Eurythmics. Halliday fulfilled Stewart while she was an adolescent and they continued to be friends for a long time; Garcia performed on many Eurythmics records. Both played jointly in Condition of Play, who released one record and two singles in the past due ’80s to small notice. Following the failure of this music group, Garcia and Halliday parted methods, and then reunite at the start from the ’90s. Renaming themselves Curve, Halliday and Garcia released three EPs that became indie strikes in 1991. Despite the bad press, their following EP and 1st recording, 1992’s Doppelganger, strike number one within the U.K. indie graphs.
