Biography

Bassist Curtis Lundy (sibling of Carmen Lundy) is best-known for his are section of jazz vocalist Betty Carter’s music group, which includes at one stage or another got many eventual renowned music artists go through their ranks (including Jack port DeJohnette, Dave Holland, and Don Braden, amongst others). Lundy in addition has played on various other jazz artist’s recordings (including go for albums by John Hicks, Bobby Watson, Steve Nelson Quintet, Johnny Griffin, etc.) and in the past due ’80s briefly stepped from the history and issued YOU NEED TO BE Yourself (1988). Ten years afterwards he united with Justin Period Information for Against All Chances (1999), followed quickly thereafter by Purpose (2002). Both albums features pianists John Hicks and Anthony Wonsey.
