Curtis Fuller belongs within the select group with J.J. Johnson, Kai Winding, and some other people who make the trombone audio fluid and welcoming rather than uncomfortable. He figured phase using the 1973 recording Crankin’. Fuller toured using the Count number Basie music group from 1975 to 1977, and do times for Mainstream, Timeless, and Bee Hive. He co-led the quintet Large Bone fragments with Winding in 1979 and 1980, and used Artwork Blakey, Cedar Walton, and Benny Golson in the past due ’70s and early ’80s. Through the ’80s, Fuller toured European countries regularly using the Timeless All-Stars, and performed and documented using the revamped Jazztet furthermore to leading an excellent program for Savoy in 1993.
