The progressive Southern trio CunninLynguists’ mix of witty lyrics and edgy production has made them a favorite of underground hip-hop fans. Before they teamed up, Deacon the Villain from Kentucky and Kno from Georgia had been already popular among the hip-hop underground for both their abilities over the mike and their skills in the producer’s seat. Celph Entitled, Tonedeff, and Mr. SOS all produced visitor appearance’s over the duo’s 2001 debut, Will Rap for Meals, which made an appearance on the tiny Urban Aces label and shortly went of printing. Rave review articles and Internet community forums helped make the record a uncommon collector’s item until it had been reissued in 2005 with the Caroline-associated FreshChest label. FreshChest was also in charge of CunninLynguists’ sophomore work, 2003’s Southernunderground, which discovered Mr. SOS signing up for the group, enabling Kno to change his concentrate from rapping to creation. The record featured visitor performances by Masta Ace and RJD2, and a few politics tracks in response towards the Sept 11, 2001 episodes. Two loose mixtapes having a parade of visitor stars also have made an appearance, with Sloppy Mere seconds, Vol. 1 getting in 2003 and Sloppy Mere seconds, Vol. 2 pursuing two years later on. CunninLynguists retured in 2011 using their 5th proper studio recording, Oneirology, which presented visitor looks from Big K.R.We.T. and Freddie Gibbs. The group got a brief break third , recording, with Natti liberating solo recording Still Movement in 2013, and Kno developing trip-hop group Created to Fade, who released debut full-length To Dirt in 2013 aswell. Unusual Trip, Vol. 3 made an appearance in 2014, and was made with insight from supporters, who provided tips for musical principles aswell as artwork. Afterwards in the entire year, the group collaborated using the Grouch and Eligh for the tour-only discharge The WinterFire EP.
