Culture Shock

Wayne Pountney — stage name Lifestyle Shock — fell deeply in love with drum’n’bass even though hearing pirate radio in London when he was only a child. This affinity motivated him to understand about digital music and he started recording in the home. In 2004, he released his initial result, the Vega EP (Shifting Darkness), and continuing writing. 2007 noticed the discharge of THE 3RD Stage, his second EP and initial for Ram Information. Thereafter, he previously one big discharge per year, frequently just a one using a B-side: “Kronix” b/w “Imax” (2008), “Poor Crimson” b/w “Shock” (2010), “Security” b/w “Ohrwurm” (2011), “I RECALL” b/w “Troglodyte” (2012), and “Raindrops” b/w “Troglodyte VIP” (2014). In those off years through the singles blitz, he released two monitors with friend Sub Concentrate: “Move Higher” (2009) and “You Make It Better” (2013). In 2015, he released a monitor called “Town Lighting” that highlighted vocalist Bryn Christopher on vocals. Relatively renowned in the EDM picture, the track have been teased in various iterations for nearly half-a-decade, and the state release triggered a tiny mix with drum’n’bass and jungle supporters. Riding the influx of “Town Lighting,” he released his third EP, Transit, in past due 2015.
