Cult of Daath

Produced in 1999 and hailing from Chicago, IL, Cult of Daath is certainly a primal, misanthropic black colored metal band motivated by Western european forefathers such as for example Hellhammer, Darkthrone, and early Beherit. Essentially a cooperation between ex-Ezurate guitarist, bassist, and vocalist Culggath Immortum and drummer/vocalist Wargoat Obscurum (also of Nachtmystium and ex-Krieg), Cult of Daath debuted with 2001’s The Grand Torturers of Hell, after that took a protracted break before coming back in 2004. Using a flurry of activity, they unleashed the Razor Battle EP and Beneath the Cover from the Triumphant Holocaust full-length that same season, and proclaimed 2005 using a third long-player, Slit Throats and Ritual Evenings.
