Cucu Diamantes

Co-founder from the N.Con.C.-structured band Yerba Buena, Cucu Diamantes can be a single artist and actress. Delivered and elevated in Havana, Cuba, Diamantes began her career performing within a salsa music group while studying artwork in Italy. Following a move to NEW YORK, she met manufacturer Andres Levin and produced Yerba Buena, a Latin-meets-hip-hop-meets-dance-music music group whose 2003 work Leader Alien was nominated to discover the best Latin Rock and roll/Alternative Record Grammy Prize. Cabaret music was the primary impact behind her 2009 single work Cuculand, which received a Latin Grammy nomination for Greatest Alternative Tune, “Mas Fuerte.” In 2012 she was the concentrate of Amor Cronico, a film that implemented Cucu on her behalf moves across Cuba.
