b. Theodore Bennett, c.1902, USA, d. 28 November 1965, Pittsburgh, Pa, USA. Although he under no circumstances recorded, Bennett is generally cited by various other trumpeters as a superb talent with concepts well before his period. His cousin, Benny Carter, regarded him to become therefore harmonically advanced that in the 20s he was playing in ways others wouldn’t normally emulate for another 2 decades. Bennett proved helpful for many rings around NY but was footloose and demonstrated little fascination with a steady work, preferring instead to hold out and play just how he needed. Bennett eventually vanished from the picture.
