Biography

Among Colombia’s most widely used rings, Cuarteto Imperial, disbanded when vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Miguel Cejas was reborn like a Christian and embarked on an evangelistic ministry in 1998. Accordion, piano and keyboards participant Gerald Gros and bass participant Fredy Toro possess continued to utilize Cejas on his single projects. Created in the 1970s, Cuarteto Imperial constructed a strong pursuing using its dance-inspiring mixture of cambia, salsa, merengue, flamenco and ballads.

2 In 1982 at age 4 he worked at Teatro Colon during La Boheme with Luciano Pavarotti performing the lead role.
3 His mother was a professor at the Alliance Francaise.
4 Worked with film directors Philipp Stölzl, Johannes Schaaf and Baz Luhrmann.
5 Made his debut at Carnegie Hall in a solo concert at age 23.
6 Speaks fluent English, Spanish and Italian.
7 He was born in Uruguay, and grew up in Buenos Aires and New York.
8 Lived in New York City, Hallandale, Florida and Leipzig, Germany.
9 Every year visits Mozart's grave at St. Marx Cementery in Vienna.
10 Before getting international recognition he was assistant for a Law firm.
11 Attended the same National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires as Alberto Ginastera.
12 He visits schools and hospitals around the world as part of a program introducing children to Opera.
13 After a last minute called he learned by heart the Opera Don Carlo by Verdi in just 3 days in order to perform it at the Hungarian State Opera.
14 Worked with renowned artist such as Daniel Baremboin, Anna Netrebko, Placido Domingo, Aprile Millo, Samuel Ramey, Ulf Schirmer and Zubin Mehta.
15 He is good friends with pianist Sandro Russo, Israel Gursky and conductor Eugene Kohn.
16 Known for the Il Trovatore with Deutsche Grammophon directed by Philipp Stölzl.
17 Has one older brother and four sisters.
18 He was a professional soccer player from 1988 to 1994 playing among other teams in Boca juniors in Buenos Aires.
19 Holds dual citizenship - USA and Uruguayan.
20 Consider one of his best engagement his 2003 short appearance at Carnegie Hall with Opera Orchestra of New York.
21 His grandfather was first violinist in Montevideo from 1940's throughout 1970's.
