Biography
Following a couple many years of slogging it out down within the South, Cry of Appreciate released their debut album, Brother, in 1993. Cry of Appreciate had not been cut in the same cloth because so many from the ’90’s hard rock and roll bands. Rather than sludgy Sabbath steals, punk rips, or grunge, the music group faithfully recreated the traditional hard rock and roll sounds from the ’70s. From Poor Firm to Lynyrd Skynyrd, every one of the staples of common rock and roll could possibly be heard within their music; guitarist Audley Freed composed riffs that appeared like lost album monitors from 1975. And AOR supporters paid tribute — they produced “Peace Tube” and “Poor Thing” main radio hits.

1 | I call myself a singer-songwriter, but I'm a pretty good rhythm guitar player and there's something to be said for that. Bob Dylan is also a pretty good rhythm guitar player - Edward Van Halen couldn't do what Dylan does as a rhythm player. |
2 | I'm not a big reader of my own reviews - I'm just too sensitive. |
