Guitarist/vocalist Kathy Cashel met fellow guitarist Adam Brady in a concert in 1997. Their particular groups were splitting up, therefore they made a decision to play jointly as the Blisters using a revolving door of bassists and friend Jim Schaffer on drums. That music group lasted for the year, but following the lack of their drummer they employed in drummer Jenn Thomas, held the final bassist who that they had employed (Drew Sutter), and began Cry Baby Cry. The group proceeded to go into the studio room through the fall of 2001 and documented an record with Burning up Airlines frontman J. Robbins. Their debut record came out another springtime on Dischord Information.
