After departing from your Reno, NV, pop-punk troupe Zoinks! in 1997, guitarist/vocalist Zac Damon shifted to create Crushstory that same yr with guitarist Jim Bowers. Producing a bundle of ’60s mod punk and ’80s power pop, 702 Information released Crushstory’s debut EP like a split using the Gain in 1999 accompanied by their self-titled CDEP that same yr. After a short tour and essential comparisons to famous brands Weezer, Chisel, and Elvis Costello, Pop Child Records ultimately released the band’s 1st full-length, a+Electric powered, in middle-2000.
