Crosscut Found was a high draw blues-rock music group in Tallahasse, FL, within the mid- to past due ’70s, because of frontman Pat Ramsey, a gifted harmonica wiz and singer, and business lead guitarist Julien Kasper. Ramsey was from Shreveport, LA, and started playing harmonica at 17. After hitchhiking across the U.S. for two years, Ramsey finished up in Denver, CO, in 1973, where he became a member of the Bunny Brooks Blues Music group. After adding blues harp to Johnny Winter’s White colored Sizzling & Blue recording, Ramsey became a member of Butch Vehicles’ Florida-based Vehicles band. Eventually shifting to Tallahasse, Ramsey fulfilled a teenaged Kasper and shaped Crosscut Noticed. Kasper had dropped deeply in love with the blues early, and he previously only owned a power guitar to get a yr when Crosscut Noticed was shaped, but his Jimi Hendrix-styled showmanship on-stage (not forgetting his substantial chops), in conjunction with Ramsey’s performing and harmonica, produced the band a high draw in night clubs and pubs all along the Eastern Seaboard. Crosscut Noticed performed the circuit for five years roughly, and released an individual album, Mad, Poor and Dangerous to learn, on the self-employed Shock label in 1975. Ramsey and Kasper remained in touch following the group disbanded, and their annual Crosscut Noticed reunions remain a big attract Tallahasse. Akarma Information re-released Mad, Poor and Dangerous to learn on Compact disc in 2005.
