Cravin’ Melon

Founded in 1994 at Southern Carolina’s Clemson University, Cravin’ Melon shaped from your remnants of two additional well-known local rings — vocalist Doug Jones and bassist J.J. Bowers previously teamed as the duo Doghouse, while guitarist Jimbo Chapman and drummer Rick Reames had been both alumni of another Move. Quickly growing among the southeast’s most well-known live sights, Cravin’ Melon quickly released a self-titled five-song demonstration EP which sold-out after only a small number of live performances; the full-length Where I Wanna End up being implemented in early 1995, and was a significant hit on regional radio. After putting your signature on to Mercury, in 1997 Cravin’ Melon released their main label debut Crimson Clay Harvest; documented with brand-new bassist/vocalist Rob Clay, the live EP Press Me implemented in 1998. The group resurfaced 2 yrs later with THE FANTASTIC Procrastinator.
