Biography

Made up of a DJ along with a producer functioning together to bridge the dancefloor as well as the studio, Crane A.K. surfaced by the end from the ’90s simply with time to serve because the flagship musician for Power Inc’s Force Monitors subsidiary. The Berlin duo’s exceptional synthesis of house’s dancefloor electricity and minimal techno’s nuanced cerebralism produced them an ideal foundation for Power Monitors, a label with the same aesthetic that could continue to web host such luminaries as Llumo and MRI. Markus Gniech features because the group’s connect to the dancefloor, as he also occurs to spin information as DJ Knigge with very much acclaim in European countries and, specifically, Germany. The duo’s various other member, Michael Friedrich, features because the group’s studio room mastermind, having began tinkering with synths and samplers in the past due ’80s and having started making in 1990. Both began their relationship in wintertime 1998, fashioning minimal monitors which were heady in addition to rousing, most much like the Köln-based tech-house performers documenting for Kompakt in the past due ’90s. Following a group of celebrated 12″ EPs for Pressure Songs, the duo’s 1st full-length made an appearance in early 2001, Red Eyed Pony.
