Not to end up being confused using the Hole frontwoman and Kurt Cobain widow from the same name, the Olympia, Washington-based indie-pop music group Courtney Like was formed in 1990 simply by singer-guitarist Lois Maffeo and drummer Pat Maley. After simply three singles — their debut “Uncrushworthy,” “Shows” and “Hey! Antoinette” — and a small number of compilation songs, Courtney Like disbanded in past due 1991, with Maffeo heading to cult stardom like a single vocalist/songwriter and Maley later on running Olympia’s mentioned Yo-Yo studio and its own accompanying label.
