Beneath the direction of vocalist Michel Bianco, Corou de Berra is constantly on the keep the authentic polyphonic sounds from the southernmost Alps. Performing in a number of dialects — Nicois, Piemontais, Italian, Provincial, Gavot, and French — the group offers a tone of voice for the countless distinct ethnicities of the spot. A musical arm from the French social group Nissa Coni, Corou de Berra is constantly on the direct global focus on the musical customs from the French Alps. Their second recording, Asa Nisi Masa, received a German music critics’ award in 1995. Although their concerts possess featured as much as two dozen vocalists, Corou de Berra frequently perform as an eight-piece music group, offering the polyphonic interplay of business lead vocalists Bianco, Marie Foessel Scounda, Christian Francoia, and Francois Marchetti, and bass performers Clovis Dehennin and Gael Princivalle. A specialist musician since 1977, Bianco analyzed saxophone and hurdy-gurdy in Paris. The founder of two prior rings, Bachas and Bachas Montjoia, he acts as movie director the Academy of Traditional Tunes from the Southernmost Alps.
