Cordell Jackson

Created in 1923 in Pontotoc, MS, Cordell Jackson, aka “Acoustic guitar Granny,” started executing in the 1930s with her father’s music group, the Pontiac Ridge Joggers. She founded her personal Moon Information, the oldest consistently working label in Memphis, in 1956, release a her personal recordings aswell as those of additional Memphis-based rock and roll & roll performers. Although Moon Information didn’t visit a large amount of activity in the intervening years, when she dedicated her attentions even more to selling homes, the label still been around. She would become engineer, arranger, and maker, using her living space as a studio room. She began Moon Information to concern her “Beboppers Xmas” and “Stone Christmas” and began liberating 45-rpm singles by additional music artists. In 1980, she brought the label back again to launch an anthology of Moon recordings and started to record her personal songs once again. Guitarist Jackson started writing and documenting her personal tracks in the past due ’40s.
