Austin, TX-based contemporary rock ensemble Wire is centered around vocalist/songwriter Wire Carpenter (vocals/acoustic guitar/keyboards). Also presented are Robert Garcia (business lead acoustic guitar), Tommy Munter (bass/vocals), and Johnny Villareal (percussion). Although originally hailing from central Tx, the band captured on locally in Austin and released its debut recording, Who YOU UNDERSTAND, in 2005. Ultimately, the band authorized with Emerald Town Entertainment and released its sophomore work, Tracks for Your Time of year, in 2007.
