The beginnings from the dark theatrical pop group Copenhagen get back to early 1999, when vibraphonist/keyboardist Kirsa Wilkenschildt and vocalist Neil Henderson made a decision to do a lot more than merely write collaboratively. The duo ultimately done the lineup to add dual bassist John Emmerson, drummer Andy Thompson, vocalists Pauline and Jacqui Cuff (formely of Soho), trumpet participant John Hutchinson, and violinist Ruth Gottlieb. The collective debuted in June of 2000 using the Raining Once again single and adopted it in January of 2001 with another solitary, Home. Both produces had been through Super 8. Authorized to Flower Store, the label operate by God Machine’s/Sophia’s Robin Proper-Sheppard, Copenhagen released their debut long-player, Stories From your Forest, in Dec of 2001.
