Great for August formed in LA in 1993 when L.A. picture veterinarian Gordon Vaughn 1st teamed with Canadian expatriate guitarist Trevor Kustiak and drummer Shane Hillsides. Following the addition of Maryland indigenous Andrew Shives on bass, the group quickly cut a demonstration tape, but fended off label curiosity until putting your signature on to Warner Bros. in 1995. A proceed to Atlanta adopted to record Great for August’s 1997 debut Grand Globe, an album offering guest looks by onetime American Music Golf club members Tag Eitzel and Bruce Kaphan.
