Cookin’ with Kurt

The Cookin’ with Kurt project was helmed by synthesizer player Kurt Stenzel, aka Stenzo. For the self-titled Cookin’ with Kurt discharge on Innerspace in 2000, he was became a member of by Peter Fuhry (who founded the music group Beyondomatic with Stenzo) on flute and clarinet, in addition to Randy Burke on drums and Charles Davis. Cookin’ with Kurt is normally occupied exclusively by two extended instrumental improvisations, blending acid-jazz rhythms with components of space rock and roll, jazz-rock fusion, and electronica. Based on the liner records, the album is supposed as “incidental music for about the home,” providing history for cooking food or baby-making.
