Convict

Canadian hard rockers Convict never escaped the clichés from the genre – leading some to suspect them to be a ‘joke’ music group. Nevertheless, Terry ‘The Can’ Browning (vocals, acoustic guitar), Kim Kennedy (bass) and Vic Bradley (drums) had been perfectly serious within their intention. Their 1985 debut recording for Cobra Information, JUST DO IT Make My Day time, balanced conventional very difficult rock with tiresome AOR ballads. Their musical immaturity and insufficient songwriting ability resulted in many stinging testimonials in the Canadian press. Unsurprisingly disheartened, Convict folded soon after its release.
