Since she was a kid, Consuelo de Paula utilized to take part in folkloric celebrations in her area just like the Congada as well as the Folia de Reis. In 1982, she was appointed the “revelation vocalist” from the Brazilian Popular Music Celebration from the southwest of Minas Gerais, Brazil. In Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais), she participated in the choir from the Government University, and in addition in the Bloco perform Caixão. Having examined singing, electric guitar, and percussion, she created and aimed her debut Compact disc Samba, Seresta e Baião (1998, reissued in 2000), discovering musically the folklore world. Located in São Paulo, she performs in the SESC and various other cultural centers.
