Consortium Classicum

Founded by clarinetist Dieter Klöcker, the German chamber ensemble Consortium Classicum was created in the first 1960s to execute Classical and Romantic repertoire for woodwinds and strings in a variety of combinations. The group contains leading orchestral soloists and music teachers, and typically figures up to ten players. Consortium Classicum offers explored core functions by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Hummel, Spohr, Ries, Kreutzer, and Berwald, and documented them for MDG, CPO, Orfeo, EMI Classics, Claves, and Novalis.
