Compton & Batteau

Guitarist John Parker Compton and violinist Robin Batteau were using the coffeehouse circuit jointly in Cambridge through the past due ’60s before forming the music group Appaloosa. Also including bassist David Reiser and cellist Eugene Rosov, Appaloosa was agreed upon to Columbia Information in 1969, and acquired an LP over the shelves prior to the calendar year was out. The Cambridge folk-influenced founding duo implemented up their band’s self-titled record using the 1970 documenting, Compton & Batteau in California, prior to going their split ways; Compton documented a solo record, To Luna, the next calendar year, and resurfaced in the ’90s with some brand-new recordings, while Batteau continued to play within a duo along with his sibling David Batteau, before signing up for the past due-’70s music group Pierce Arrow, after that working being a studio musician.
