Composer’s Workshop Ensemble

Group. Ambitious but short-lived band of improvisers who documented on Music artists cooperative Strata-East. They produced two albums in early ’70s; functions were created for the periods and had been sprawling, intense parts. Drummer Warren Smith was nominal head for first discharge; he was also associated with the next, as were various other stalwarts like Howard Johnson, Supplement Bushler, Jack port Jeffers and Bross Townsend.
