Selections of Colonies of Bees was started like a part task for Chris Rosenau and Jon Mueller, both from the post-rock group Pele. They combined acoustic devices with electronic noises and released their self-titled debut on U.K.’s The Rosewood Union label. Selections of Colonies of Bees drew interest for their 1st LP and discovered a house in the U.S. label Crouton, which released Rance, fa.ce (a, as well as the Meyou EP. Pillowscars Information, a Swedish label, released their Stuck EP in 2003. Selections of Colonies of Bees made a decision to add two fresh members for his or her Customer launch — pc and synth providers Jon Small (also of Pele) and Jim Schoenecker, who experienced worked with Small on electronic tasks before. Polyvinyl Information released Client in Oct of 2004. The follow-up full-length Providing found its way to 2011, marking the departure of Mueller from your project.
