Colette Carr

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Colette Carr began her profession by merging pop and rap, but shortly switched to confessional synth pop. As a kid, Carr had different musical tastes, hearing the Smiths, Jimi Hendrix, Gwen Stefani, and Speaking Heads before finding rap. Subsequently, she was uncovered in 2008 at a casino game concert — in one of the most hardcore of hardcore rap environment — being a call-out for freestylers in the market, which drew Carr on-stage. She wowed the audience and was taken backstage where companies, including the effective staff the Cataracs, provided the young vocalist their card. In ’09 2009 she released her debut one, “Back again It Up,” a viral strike that caught the interest of Nick Cannon, who agreed upon Carr to his N’Credible record label. The one “Bitch Like Me” implemented this year 2010 combined with the mixtape Sex Markets KEEP TUNED IN. She released her debut record, Skitzo, in 2013 with creation from the Cataracs, RedOne, and FrankMusik, while visitor performers included rapper E-40 and commercial pop vocalist Porcelain Dark. She continuing her cooperation with FrankMusik in a fresh, soul-bearing musical path, the first flavor which was the early-2016 one “Play Home.” The Static.Begin. EP implemented a couple of months later.
