Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit

Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Recovery Unit were among the many tasks of guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Col. Bruce Hampton, previously most widely known as the head from the Hampton Grease Music group. Hampton’s use the Aquarium Recovery Unit mixed rock and roll, jazz, blues, Latin, funk, bluegrass, and psychedelia with playful depart. The group’s focus on chops and improvisation led these to be from the jam music group scene; they became a member of the H.O.R.D.E. tour and collaborated with Béla Fleck and Blues Traveler’s John Popper. The music group released three albums: two concert recordings (released in 1992 and 2007, respectively) and 1993’s Mirrors of Humiliation. Though Hampton still left the group in 1993, the rest of the bandmembers continuing to tour and record beneath the Aquarium Rescue Device name.
